Data Analyst
Location: Remote, U.S.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Flexible Hours | 30–40 hours/week
Training: On-site training in Indianapolis, Indiana
Contract: 1 year Contract (Extension or possibility for conversion)

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support clinical data operations and quality initiatives within a healthcare laboratory environment. This role will be responsible for importing, maintaining, validating, and analyzing clinical data using statistical application software while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with applicable laboratory standards.

This position will work closely with field operations and internal teams to ensure high-quality data is available to support informed business and clinical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Import and process clinical data received from field operations using statistical application software.
  • Enter, create, maintain, validate, and archive designated master data within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Utilize EP Evaluator to perform statistical analysis, data evaluation, and verification activities.
  • Review data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established quality standards.
  • Apply CLIA and CAP requirements when assessing clinical laboratory data and monitoring data quality.
  • Identify data discrepancies, investigate potential issues, and provide feedback or guidance to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support efficient and increasingly automated data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Maintain an understanding of database fundamentals, including tables, hierarchical structures, flat files, and related data structures.
  • Assist with clinical laboratory verification activities and ensure data aligns with applicable laboratory expectations.
  • Manage multiple priorities and assignments while maintaining accuracy and meeting established timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and field operations teams to resolve data and quality issues.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and data-related concerns effectively through written and verbal communication.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement appropriate ideas within established guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Laboratory Medicine degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced working knowledge of EP Evaluator statistical software.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of database concepts and data structures, including:
  • Tables
  • Hierarchical structures
  • Flat files
  • Data relationships
  • Knowledge of CLIA and CAP regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with CAP regulatory checklists.
  • Understanding of chemistry laboratory verification and inspection expectations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) background.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Experience working with SQL, Python, or Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Experience with clinical laboratory data analysis, verification, or validation.
  • Experience working in a regulated healthcare or laboratory environment.
