Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior React Developer / UI Engineer to join a major digital transformation initiative. The consultant will be responsible for designing and developing modern, user-friendly web interfaces and data-driven applications.
The role will focus on the development of strategic data services UI, working closely with engineering, data, business, and technology teams. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and SQL.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React and JavaScript.
- Build reusable and scalable front-end components.
- Develop interactive UI features and enhance overall user experience.
- Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Work with JSON, XML, and SQL for data integration and application development.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
- Follow established development standards, coding practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Contribute to modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Develop applications supporting data-driven business processes.
- Work effectively in a collaborative Agile development environment.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software development / UI development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
- Advanced JavaScript development experience.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience developing responsive web applications.
- Strong experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with JSON and XML.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with modern front-end development frameworks and libraries.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technology and business teams.
Preferred Skills
- Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
- UI/UX development experience.
- Experience building data-driven applications.
- Experience with Azure Cloud environments.
- Agile/Scrum development experience.
- Experience working in financial services, banking, capital markets, or securities environments.
