Description

Summary:

  • Location: Beltsville Aerospace Facility
  • Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Support continuous improvement efforts across the manufacturing environment.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing tools to improve shop floor productivity.
  • Engage in basic problem-solving activities.
  • Collect inspection data to create statistical process charts.
  • Collaborate with CI manager, operations team, and Quality team.
  • Learn and implement new technologies and process changes.
  • Reinforce training from kaizen events and follow up on identified action items.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, complete or currently in progress.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in high-volume, discrete manufacturing, consumer products, automotive, or similar industries preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of time studies, work measurement, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or facility layout software preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence teams and drive change in a manufacturing environment.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
