Medical Assistant Requirements:
Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
Minimum Experience: 3 years of Medical Assistant experience OR graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
Medical Assistant - $20.26 - $26.34/ hour. Pay is dependent on applicant''s relevant experience.
Medical Assistant I Requirements:

Summary:
Provides care of urologic patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or provider and assists with minor procedures.
Responsibilities:
Obtains patient history and vital signs. Explains procedures, documents care, and communicates findings with RN and Physician. Assists with urologic radiographic and ultrasound examinations and cystoscopies. Performs UDS studies with Provider is present.
Assists with minor surgical procedures. Performs urinary catheter insertions and removals. Performs laboratory duties. Assists with simple dressing changes.
Communicates prescription refill requests to Physician and calls in refills to pharmacy. Performs delegated clinical tasks with a written provider order. Collects or prepares specimens. Administers medications and injections per practice-specific guidelines.
Sends specimens to testing laboratory. Communicates abnormal results to providers. Cleans and restocks rooms, supplies and equipment. Transports patients.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
