What You'll Do
As a Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Managing assigned Leadmen and crews to complete daily tasks accurately and on time.
- Recording labor and equipment hours precisely and comparing them against project estimates to maintain cost control.
- Reviewing contracts, blueprints, schematics, and project documentation before work begins.
- Monitoring project progress to ensure adherence to schedules and budget constraints.
- Anticipating personnel, material, and equipment needs, and communicating these requirements effectively.
- Maintaining safe, clean, and organized job sites at all times.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and acting as the onsite safety representative to uphold safety standards.
- Leading quality control efforts to ensure all work meets company and industry standards.
- Ensuring proper use, maintenance, and care of tools and equipment.
- Completing work orders and change orders accurately, and tracking associated costs.
- Communicating project updates, performance issues, and timelines to management.
- Providing technical support and guidance to team members.
- Submitting daily reports, time records, receipts, and project documentation promptly.
- Coordinating project status updates and estimated completion dates with relevant teams.
- Ensuring clear communication during shift handoffs and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
- Traveling to various job sites around Lebanon and Oregon as needed to oversee work and support teams.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in millwright work, including welding, fabrication, equipment layout, alignment, troubleshooting, and machinery installation or removal.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with large-scale industrial or manufacturing equipment installation.
- Knowledge of sawmill operations is a plus.
- Strong estimating, job costing, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage time, materials, and billing effectively, including handling change orders.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, climb, balance, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
