Job Title: Parts Deburrer Technician – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $21–$23/hour, depending on experience
Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday (1st Shift)
Start Date: ASAP, within the next 1–2 weeks
Duration: Temporary assignment for approximately 3–4 weeks, with potential for temp-to-hire
Location: Saco, ME
We are seeking a Parts Deburrer Technician for our client, a specialized manufacturer located in Saco, Maine. This hands-on position involves finishing machined parts by removing burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections according to blueprint specifications. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or technical background, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Please note: U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to ITAR-controlled aerospace and defense work. The client manufactures some products for defense applications, and candidates must be comfortable working in an environment where products may be designed to cause harm. Employees must also sign a confidentiality agreement prohibiting them from photographing or discussing the client's products and operations outside of work.
As a Parts Deburrer Technician, you will be responsible for:
Removing burrs and sharp edges from machined parts according to blueprint specifications.
Submitting the first finished piece to inspection or a supervisor for approval.
Completing required paperwork, including inspection records, sign-offs, and lot tags.
Keeping parts clean and moving completed components to inspection.
Using and maintaining deburring tools and equipment.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Following all quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
U.S. citizenship (required).
Availability to work the full Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule and start as soon as possible.
A mechanical or technical background, such as machine shop, manufacturing, automotive, maintenance, or trade school experience.
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
The ability to follow instructions and work to precise specifications.
A dependable, self-motivated attitude and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred qualifications include:
Experience deburring or assembling machined metal parts.
Ability to read blueprints and follow print specifications.
Experience using rotary or vibrating hand tools, such as a Dynafile or Dremel.
Work Environment
Work in a cool, climate-controlled environment maintained at approximately 68–72°F.
Long pants are required; sweatshirts are acceptable.
Follow all safety requirements and confidentiality guidelines.
Work on-site in a specialized aerospace and defense manufacturing facility.
