As a Wood Shop Associate, you'll build wooden shipping crates that help ensure safe transportation of goods worldwide. You'll work closely with your team to deliver results that make a difference.
What You'll Do
As a Wood Shop Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Building large wooden shipping crates according to detailed blueprints and schematics, ensuring precision and quality
- Using hand tools such as hammers, nail guns, and screw guns to assemble crates efficiently
- Learning to operate table and skill saws safely while following all safety protocols
- Measuring accurately with tapes and reading blueprints to meet exact specifications
- Assisting with material handling and transporting wood throughout the warehouse
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in construction or manufacturing (carpentry experience is a plus)
- Proficiency with hand tools, including nail guns and screw guns
- Ability to read blueprints and measure accurately, with a safety-minded attitude
