We are seeking a reliable and compassionate evening caregiver to assist an elderly couple in their home in Chuluota, FL. This role focuses on companionship, evening routine support, and light household tasks.
Client Details:
- Husband (88) – ambulatory, has aphasia (difficulty speaking)
- Wife (84) – ambulatory, mild short-term memory issues
- Both clients can feed and bathe themselves
- Family members live in the home but have limited availability to assist
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and supervision during evening hours
- Assist with redirection, especially with bedtime routine
- Light housekeeping (e.g., cleaning dinner dishes, tidying kitchen)
- Medication reminders
- Ensure a calm and safe evening environment
Requirements:
- Experience with dementia, memory care, or communication challenges (preferred)
- Patient, attentive, and able to provide gentle redirection
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work evening shifts consistently
Additional Information:
- No pets in the home
- Daytime caregivers are already in place
