Job Title: Industrial Automation / Control Systems Engineer
Location: Bedford, MA (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in PLC programming, SCADA/HMI development, and hardware-software integration within R&D environments. The candidate will develop industrial control systems and OT solutions for biopharmaceutical R&D, ensuring compliance with GAMP 5 guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and integrate PLC, SCADA, and HMI applications.
Program PLCs using Siemens TIA Portal, CODESYS, or Rockwell platforms.
Implement communication protocols such as OPC UA/DA, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP.
Develop hardware-software integration solutions and API-based data exchanges.
Prepare technical specifications and validation documentation.
Collaborate with developers, testers, architects, and product owners in Agile teams.
Develop proof-of-concept solutions and demonstrate technical capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems.
Strong PLC and HMI/SCADA programming experience.
Experience integrating software with hardware.
Knowledge of APIs and industrial communication protocol
