    Urgent Care Veterinarian – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

     

    A progressive small animal practice is seeking a Urgent Care Veterinarian professional to provide after-hours medical attention for pets in need of prompt, compassionate care. This role is ideal for veterinarians who thrive in a fast-paced environment, focusing exclusively on urgent cases such as minor injuries, gastrointestinal issues, and wound management—without the demands of routine wellness or major surgeries. The practice emphasizes a collaborative, Fear Free approach supported by a skilled medical team and modern diagnostic tools.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver high-quality medical care for small animal urgent cases

    • Communicate effectively with clients regarding diagnosis and treatment plans

    • Collaborate with the veterinary and technical teams to ensure smooth case flow

    • Manage a diverse caseload while maintaining strong attention to detail

    • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment

     

    Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

    • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited program (or equivalent via ECFVG/PAVE)

    • Active veterinary license in good standing (or eligibility to obtain one)

    • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills

    • Dedication to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
