    Urgent Care Veterinarian – Newtown, PA

     

    An urgent care veterinary clinic is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join its collaborative medical team. This role focuses exclusively on urgent care cases, providing treatment for non-life-threatening conditions that occur after regular veterinary clinic hours. The practice offers modern facilities, advanced diagnostic equipment, and a strong technical support team to help veterinarians deliver efficient, high-quality care.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent medical conditions in canine and feline patients

    • Provide treatment for common urgent cases such as wound management, ear infections, vomiting, diarrhea, and minor injuries

    • Perform necessary procedures and provide stabilization when appropriate

    • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care

    • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient care

    • Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation

    Qualifications

    • DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited institution (or equivalent program completion)

    • Eligible for or currently holding an active veterinary license in the applicable state

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    • Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
