    A progressive veterinary practice in Midlothian, VA is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join its growing team. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys managing urgent medical cases, providing compassionate companion animal care, and working in a collaborative environment that values continuous learning and professional growth.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of urgent medical conditions in companion animals
    • Perform urgent care procedures and minor surgical interventions within scope of practice
    • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
    • Educate clients on treatment options, preventive care, and follow‑up recommendations
    • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure exceptional patient care
    • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
    • Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives
    • Uphold high standards of medical care, patient safety, and client service

     

    Qualifications

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
    • Active or eligible veterinary license in Virginia
    • New graduates and experienced veterinarians encouraged to apply
    • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care and collaborative teamwork
