Pay: $29.32/hour
Job Type: Temporary (W2)
Hours: ~30 hours/week (after training)
Setting: Clinic / patient-facing (safety sensitive role)

Position Overview

We’re hiring a Part-Time Urgent Care Medical Assistant to support a busy clinic team. You’ll help create a great first impression for patients, assist providers during visits, and keep clinic flow moving—while maintaining HIPAA/privacy standards.

Schedule (Important)

• Training/Orientation: Full-time hours for the first 3–4 weeks (must be able to attend the full training schedule)
• After training, schedules are typically built in 6-week blocks
• Shifts are generally 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours
• Typical week after training: 2–3 weekdays + every other weekend
• Includes working on some major holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients, collect histories, take vital signs, and assist with simple tests/specimens
• Support vaccination services (prep, administration support, patient education)
• Multitask between front desk, waiting room, and exam rooms to reduce wait times
• Answer phones, take messages, and assist with patient questions as appropriate
• Maintain a clean, safe clinic environment and protect PHI (HIPAA compliance)
• Help maintain supplies and complete point-of-care testing controls as needed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)
• BLS required (must remain valid at least 30+ days beyond start)
• Experience in Primary Care / Urgent Care / ER settings preferred
• EMR experience (Epic or similar preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stay active/moving throughout the day
