    • We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Admissions Clerk to join our team at the Family Health Center of Southern Oklahoma (FHCSO) in Atoka, Oklahoma. This part-time position offers a consistent schedule with 24 hours per week, working Friday through Sunday. The ideal candidate will be organized, compassionate, and ready to contribute to a positive patient experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Greet and assist patients upon arrival, providing excellent customer service.
    • Verify and update patient information, including insurance details and demographic data.
    • Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and manage patient flow.
    • Handle check-in and check-out processes, including collecting co-pays and processing payments.
    • Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and assist with referral coordination.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
    • Ensure the front office is organized, clean, and prepared for daily operations.
    • Assist with medical record management, filing, scanning, and clerical support as needed.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and team members to ensure a smooth patient experience.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or relevant healthcare certifications preferred.
    • Previous medical experience (CNA, MA, etc.) strongly preferred.
    • Prior experience in a medical office or FQHC setting is a plus.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic office equipment (e.g., phones, fax, computers).
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Familiarity with insurance verification and scheduling software is a plus.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
