What You’ll Do:
  • Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams on adult and pediatric patients
  • Assist cardiologists during exams, measuring and preparing M-modes, and exchanging relevant diagnostic information
  • Coordinate activities such as scheduling, patient transport, and billing documentation
  • Respond to patient needs and communicate any changes in patient condition to medical staff
  • Manage departmental supplies, maintain exam rooms, and log patient records
  • Ensure equipment quality control and coordinate repairs when needed
  • Participate in departmental and hospital-wide Performance Improvement activities
  • Support on-call coverage for emergency echo exams as needed
  • Stay current with advancements in Echocardiography and seek to improve skills through mentorship

What You Need:
  • Valid A.R.D.M.S./CCI registration or registry eligibility, or comparable national accreditation
  • State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional allied health education preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and perform under stress
  • Manual dexterity for echocardiogram procedures
  • At least 2 years’ relevant echocardiogram experience preferred
