Upholsterer (Experienced)
Job Summary
A growing furniture manufacturing operation is seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join its team. This position is responsible for building, repairing, and upholstering furniture pieces to meet quality and production standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Remove existing fabric, padding, and upholstery from furniture
Install padding, foam, and cushioning for comfort and durability
Secure upholstery using hand tools, power tools, and sewing equipment
Align patterns, seams, and finishes for a clean, professional look
Meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Inspect and repair frames, springs, and structural components
Measure, cut, and apply fabric, leather, or vinyl materials
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
13+ years of upholstery experience required
Ability to operate upholstery tools and industrial sewing machines
Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Reliable and able to work well in a team setting
