Laboratory Supervisor – Full Time – Butler, PA

Up to $50/Hour Based on Experience | Permanent Position

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor for a full-time permanent opportunity with one of our healthcare partners in Butler, Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced medical laboratory professional ready to take the next step in leadership while remaining closely involved in laboratory operations, quality, and patient care.

Position Details

• Full-time, permanent Laboratory Supervisor position

• Competitive pay up to $50/hour based on experience

• Lead daily clinical laboratory operations and support a team of laboratory professionals

• Oversee workflow, staffing, scheduling, and department productivity

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of laboratory testing

• Maintain compliance with CLIA, Pennsylvania Department of Health, OSHA, and applicable regulatory standards

• Monitor quality control, quality assurance, proficiency testing, and laboratory performance

• Assist with inspections, audits, documentation, and corrective action plans

• Develop, review, and maintain laboratory policies and procedures

• Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory staff

• Monitor staff competency and ensure required training is completed

• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment, testing processes, and operational issues

• Manage inventory and help ensure appropriate levels of laboratory supplies and reagents

• Collaborate with laboratory leadership, physicians, nursing teams, and other hospital departments

• Promote a culture focused on patient safety, accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork

Education & Certification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or another qualifying biological, physical, or chemical science

• Must meet applicable Pennsylvania clinical laboratory supervisor education and experience requirements

• Pennsylvania recognizes different experience requirements based on education level, including qualifying pathways for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral-level candidates performing non-waived testing (Pennsylvania Government)

• ASCP MLS, MT, or equivalent national certification preferred

• Previous clinical laboratory experience required

• Prior supervisory, lead technologist, or laboratory leadership experience strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality control, compliance, testing procedures, and regulatory standards

• Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills
