Unmanned Aircraft Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Unmanned Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in Kyiv. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous support of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), ensuring their safe, reliable, and efficient operation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
  • Disassemble, assemble, and inspect unmanned aircraft.
  • Diagnose technical faults and perform repairs on aircraft systems and components.
  • Replace defective mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Install firmware, software, and system updates for UAV platforms and associated equipment.
  • Perform post-incident inspections and carry out structural and system repairs following crashes or hard landings.
  • Repair composite airframe components.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and fitting work using hand and power tools.
  • Support pre-flight and post-flight inspections, diagnostics, and system testing.
  • Receive and evaluate equipment submitted for repair.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
  • Maintain workshop equipment and tools in proper working condition.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes and technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • Technical education (vocational, college, or Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field).
  • Previous experience in UAV maintenance, aviation, electronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience soldering electronic components, including SMD components.
  • Good knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of UAV systems and their operation.
  • Basic knowledge of radio communication systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical workshop equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic technical English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
