The University of New Mexico Press, the largest book publisher in the state of New Mexico, seeks an organized, innovative, resourceful, and dynamic Sales and Marketing Representative to join the sales and marketing team. The Sales and Marketing Representative is an in-house position that pursues positive and productive relationships with primarily New Mexican retailers, libraries, and educators alongside driving key marketing initiatives with in-state partners.
Additionally, this position participates in department and press-wide meetings; represents the press at local and national events and conferences, possibly during weekend or evening hours; explores special additional sales opportunities in and outside the state; manages course adoption requests and outreach; collaborates with internal production and editorial staff as necessary; maintains database records and files; and assists with other miscellaneous duties as needed.
This position also requires occasional local and out-of-town travel in support of university business. Travel may include attendance at meetings, conferences, training, and other professional activities. Overnight travel may be required. A valid driver''s license or the ability to obtain alternative transportation may be necessary depending on travel needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
