Must Have Technical/Functional Skills- Strong hands-on experience with Unix and Perl scripting for application development and support.

• Working knowledge of C programming, with the ability to make minor code changes, compile, and deploy.

• Experience with messaging systems, preferably IBM MQ.

• Good working knowledge of Sybase databases.

• Strong experience in query tuning and database design/modeling.

• Experience with mainframe connectivity, including tools such as Shadow Direct.

• Working knowledge of CGI programming.

• Experience with Apache web servers.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support applications using Unix and Perl. 

• Perform minor enhancements and fixes in C programs, including compilation and deployment.

• Work on messaging interfaces (IBM MQ) for system integration and communication. 

• Write, optimize, and tune database queries, and support database design improvements. 

• Manage connectivity and data exchange with mainframe systems. 

• Develop and maintain CGI-based components and web modules. 

• Support and troubleshoot applications running on Apache web servers. 

• Monitor application performance and handle production issues effectively. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects. 

• Participate in release cycles, deployments, and post-production support activities. 

• Ensure timely delivery of tasks while maintaining quality and stability of applications.
