Job Summary
Engineering and administration of UNIX & Linux Systems
Engineering and administration of Veritas products including Cluster Server, Volume Manager, File System / other clustering & replication technologies
Execute Unix performance related utilities
Engineering and administration of SUN/UNIX/ Linux based systems
Administration of Sun hardware and software
Administration of servers (experience with RedHat Linux, Solaris & AIX)
Perform OS upgrades and patch installations
Perform scripting (bash/ksh, PERL, Python)
Provision bare metal installs, configure, operate and maintain systems
Administration of ESXi environments, including advanced diagnostics and performance management
Skills:
Unix systems including Linux & Solaris v10 (mandatory)
Cluster knowledge (Mandatory)
Virtualization technologies including VMware, Linux KVM, Solaris containers etc (preferred)
Scripting and programming experience in Shell, Perl, Java (Desirable)
Storage including storage uplifts, migrations etc (desirable)
Red Hat and relevant certification (desirable)
Non-Technical Skill
Extensive troubleshooting experience in a Production environment.
Ability to work under pressure and leadership skills
Expertise in client communication
Investment banking experience preferred
Good knowledge in mapping client requirement into design and implementation
Good domain knowledge about process and procedure
ITIL certification/knowledge desirable
