The Department of University Studies at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#136030) at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2025.
The successful candidate will teach departmental courses in the Bachelor of Science Professional Studies and Integrated Studies programs. Depending on credentials and experience, the candidate may also teach courses in the Master of Professional Studies program.
Responsibilities:
A terminal degree with at least 18 graduate hours in organizational communication, English, higher education administration, industrial-organizational psychology, statistics, leadership, organizational development, or an interdisciplinary field from an accredited college or university is required by the appointment date. ABD will be considered if the dissertation is close to completion. For contract renewal, a doctoral degree must be earned no later than August 1, 2026.
Those with experience in higher education, teaching higher education upper division courses, working with non-traditional student populations, and working with interdisciplinary studies programs will receive special consideration.
