As a Sanitation Worker, youll support the maintenance and sanitation of campus facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Youll work closely with the campus maintenance team to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety.
What Youll Do
As a sanitation worker, you will be responsible for
Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitation duties across campus facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, carpet steamers, and vacuums to maintain floors and carpets.
Conduct general cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces to ensure cleanliness.
Restock supplies in restrooms and common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
Manage trash collection by emptying bins, removing rubbish, and ensuring waste disposal complies with safety standards.
Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of all campus visitors and staff.
Maintain a clean and safe environment that promotes health and hygiene best practices.
What Youll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have
Prior experience in cleaning, custodial work, or sanitation preferred but not required training provided for motivated individuals.
Ability to stand for over 8 hours and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, and crouching comfortably throughout shifts.
Strong attention to detail and a dependable work ethic.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Physical ability to perform manual cleaning tasks and lift materials as needed.

Location & Schedule
This position is on-site in Eugene, OR. Consistent daytime shift, Monday through Friday, from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
