Full time DOE Health Technician (Castle High School) position. 

"POSITION SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision, responsible for coordinated school health tasks including; coordinating school wide screenings with community partners, health and wellness promotion, data collection and disease surveillance, coverage of the health needs of students, data entry and health education as requested. Will facilitate virtual and/or in person visits with a Hawaii Keiki (HK) Nurse Practitioner (APRN). May cover school health rooms following Hawaii State Department of Education (DOE) protocol as requested and approved by HK supervisor and school administration.

Requirements

"QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education, Training & Experience

Minimum

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Current CPR and first aid certification or current BLS certification
  • Certification in a health related field or equivalent job related work experience

Preferred

  • Certification as a registered Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant or Hawaii Keiki School Health Support Staff
  • Experience working in a clinical setting
