    Job Description Summary

    The candidate will work with Dr. McRae-Clark and her research team on an NIH-funded study aimed at medication development for the treatment of cannabis use disorder. The candidate will execute tasks associated with the study protocol, including screening and scheduling participants, coordinating weekly visits and medication refills, collecting biologic and questionnaire data, and data entry. Candidate will work with treatment-seeking individuals who endorse cannabis use disorder.

    Job Description

    FLSA: Hourly


    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm


    Job Duties:

    • Recruitment and retention of subjects (30%). Develop recruitment materials and provide feedback on recruitment methods. Conduct initial screening of interested participants which includes describing study procedures and determining initial eligibility. Scheduling and tracking of study participants once enrolled.
    • Data collection (30%). Administer questionnaires and collect detailed substance use information. Collect biological samples, including urine, and coordinate of blood collection at the Clinical Neurobiology lab. Perform EKGs and obtain vital signs. Enter data into electronic database.
    • Research and regulatory files (15%). Maintain research records and source documentation. Assist with regulatory binder maintenance. Maintain human subjects training.
    • Study medication management (15%) Prepare med orders and obtain physician signatures. Collect and return meds according to IDS policies. Monitor and record participant medication adherence. Coordinate medication monitoring visits with study PA.
    • Protocol (5%) Maintain comprehensive knowledge of protocol. Scrutinize on an ongoing basis the effectiveness of study procedures and suggest changes in procedures when indicated.
    • Other duties as assigned (5%).

    Preferred Training and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in psychology, Biology, Social Sciences or Health Sciences preferred.

    Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and four years of relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
