Sodexo Energy and Resources is seeking a qualified Unit Safety Manager 2 to serve as the stand-alone site leader for all Environmental, Health & Safety programs for an Oil and Gas client in Richmond, CA.

This is a highly visible, influential role responsible for driving a best-in-class safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing strategic EHS initiatives across the sites.

Join a role where you'll lead the creation of a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment across client sites. As the primary HS&E and Quality Assurance leader, you will drive a strong safety culture, oversee environmental, health, and safety programs, and ensure compliance with North American and client-specific standards. You will manage audits, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions to support safe operations and continuous improvement.

The role of an individual contributor within the organization focuses on completing specific tasks and projects; contributing directly through their skills and expertise. Performs specialized technical tasks to support operations. Work is primarily achieved independently, however may collaborate with a team.

Pay Range: $77605 - $100430

What you'll bring

  • Experience leading an independent EHS or single-site safety program.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific regulations, including North Dakota standards.
  • Skill in conducting incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and risk-reduction initiatives.
  • Experience managing audits, corrective actions, reporting, and environmental compliance programs.
  • Expertise in training development, onboarding, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Education Requirement: Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Management Experience: 2 years
  • Related Experience: 1-2 years
