Join us and become part of a team where your ideas are heard, your potential is recognized, and your career can truly flourish.The Position:The Unemployment Insurance (UI) Tax Analyst analyzes, audits, and monitors clients' unemployment insurance tax accounts and rates to identify savings opportunities, ensure compliance, and support strategic tax planning initiatives. This position serves as a liaison with state unemployment agencies, consults with clients on unemployment tax matters, and collaborates with internal departments to deliver accurate, timely, and value-driven solutions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Analyze and verify unemployment insurance tax rate notices and prepare or coordinate rate protests when appropriateEvaluate voluntary contribution, joint account, and other tax savings opportunities for clients when applicableConsult with clients regarding unemployment insurance tax strategies, compliance requirements, and account management mattersApply subject matter expertise and professional judgment to ensure compliance with applicable unemployment insurance laws, regulations, and state requirementsReview merger and acquisition activity and coordinate with the Tax Consulting & Recovery Services Department to support compliance, account transitions, and project executionPrepare account registrations and related documentation for newly established client business entitiesPrepare and deliver annual tax account reviews and reports for clientsSupport onboarding and implementation activities for new clientsEducate and guide new clients regarding the Unemployment Cost Control Program, including service offerings, program benefits, and department processesPrepare unemployment insurance tax rate projections and financial impact analyses as requestedRespond to client inquiries accurately and within established service expectationsPrepare Tax Impact Reports (TIRs) and provide unemployment tax subject matter support to other departments as neededAssist with special projects and perform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field required; bachelor's degree preferred1+ years of professional experience in unemployment insurance, payroll tax, human resources, claims administration, compliance, or a related fieldExperience interpreting regulations, analyzing data, and communicating recommendations to clients or internal stakeholders preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to learn and utilize proprietary systems and applicationsEquivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be consideredSpecial Considerations and Prerequisites Ability to exercise discretion and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive company, client, employee, and business informationAbility to establish and maintain professional, collaborative working relationships with clients, colleagues, and leadershipStrong analytical, organizational, and time management skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to analyze complex unemployment insurance tax information and make recommendations that support client cost-saving and compliance objectivesAbility to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities with minimal supervisionAbility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needsAbility to exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information and making client recommendationsExceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, state agencies, and internal stakeholdersDemonstrated reliability, accountability, responsiveness, and consistent attendanceAbility to travel as needed for client meetings, report presentations, training, or other business purposesMust be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
