    Position Summary

    Oversee unemployment insurance function on behalf of HR-1 customers to control unemployment insurance costs.

    As the Unemployment Claims Coordinator you'll help manage day-to-day activities related to unemployment claims, including:

    • Communicate with HR-1 customers to collect information related to employee separations
    • Reviewing unemployment insurance claims and state agency correspondence
    • Gather and organize information from HR-1 systems as well as customer locations and departments
    • Complete responses to unemployment agencies regarding claims and fact-finding requests
    • Track claim deadlines, schedule hearings, and record determinations.
    • Maintain accurate and organized unemployment claim files
    • Assisting with the preparation of documentation for unemployment hearings and appeals
    • Prepare reports and track claim activity

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Conduct research on state, local, and federal laws, as directed by Compliance Leadership.
    • Produce and maintain reports and HR-related data for decision-making.

    Qualifications:

    • At least one year experience in a business/professional role
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Detail oriented and capable of independent work
    • Excellent research and analytical skills.
    • Experience with HR information systems
    • Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and discretion.

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 2+ years’ experience in unemployment claims management
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
