Join our Amwins team in Charlotte as an Underwriting Assistant!
This is a full-time, in-office position in our Charlotte office, with potential for a hybrid schedule after training.

We're looking for someone who:
Each Underwriting Assistant plays an important role in supporting the team by:
Submission & File Management
Reviewing and responding to loss run requests
Setting up files, including third party vendor runs and imported submissions
Importing submissions for schedules, blankets, and single locations
Maintaining and utilizing the submission tracker
Developing a strong understanding of the submission workflow
Processing and understanding manual-input submissions into proprietary systems
Rating & Documentation
Applying approved rates to schedules, blankets, and single locations
Generating required underwriting documentation
Policy Processing
Binding new business and renewal policies, including: Single locations, Schedules, Blankets
Payment & Follow-Up
Managing non-monetary endorsements and understanding applicable forms and form logic
Conducting routine payment follow-ups
Understanding when and how to issue a 10-day Notice of Intent to Cancel (NOITC)
Opportunities for Growth:
Carrier Submissions
Preparing and managing carrier submissions, including open-market opportunities
Complex Policy Processing
Managing more complex policy endorsements, including: Mid-term location additions and removals
Policy cancellations
Renewals
Building greater ownership of renewal accounts and workflows
