    Location: Jacksonville Office
    Position type: Full-Time
    Normal Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM

    Join our Personal Lines Underwriting team and help us deliver thoughtful solutions and exceptional service to our agency partners and policyholders.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Make Thoughtful Underwriting Decisions
      • Review new business, renewals, inspections, quote exceptions, and policy changes for eligibility, appropriate rating, and alignment with underwriting guidelines.
      • Evaluate risk information and claims activity to make informed underwriting decisions within your level of authority.
    • Build Strong Partnerships
      • Provide responsive, solutions-focused support to agency partners and clearly communicate underwriting decisions.
      • Collaborate with Sales, Claims, and other teams to resolve policy questions and support shared business goals.
    • Deliver Quality Service
      • Process underwriting transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong service and documentation standards.
      • Help identify opportunities to improve processes and the experience we provide to our agency partners.
    • Learn, Grow & Support Others
      • Continue developing your underwriting knowledge and take on greater authority and complexity as your experience grows.
      • At more experienced levels, evaluate complex risks and provide guidance, training, and mentorship to teammates.
     
    What You'll Bring
    • Experience in Personal Lines underwriting, insurance, agency operations, or a related field; the level of the position will be based on your experience and underwriting knowledge.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
    • A collaborative, service-focused approach and an interest in building positive relationships with agency partners and teammates.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Thoughtful problem-solving skills and the ability to use sound judgment when making decisions.
    • Comfort using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • College degree preferred.
    • Property & Casualty license and/or insurance designations are a plus.
