You roll out with a well-maintained mini excavator on the trailer and a clear plan. Utility locates are verified, the site is staged, and you open precise trenches for sanitary, water, storm, and gas piping systems. Some days you’re repairing sewer and water lines and locating existing well heads; other days you’re cutting, breaking, removing, and restoring concrete so the finish looks as good as the fix. When excavation slows, you jump in with the plumbing team on installs and repairs. On every job, you document work in our cloud tools (like ServiceTitan), keep records tight, collaborate with teammates, and leave a clean, safe, professional site—whether it’s residential, commercial, industrial, or institutional.
What you’ll handle
- New excavations for sanitary, water, storm, and gas piping
- Excavation and repair of sewer lines, water lines, and related utilities; locating existing well heads
- Operation of mini excavators, skid loaders, dump trucks, and other excavation equipment
- Concrete cutting, breaking, removal, and restoration
- Assisting with plumbing installations and repairs when excavation work is unavailable
- Accurate documentation and maintenance of work records
- Safe, efficient practices and a clean, professional job site
- Project work across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional settings
- Team collaboration to deliver projects efficiently

What you bring
- Hands-on experience with mini excavators, skid loaders, and hammer attachments
- Proven skill with concrete cutting equipment (walk-behind and handheld saws)
- Experience operating single-axle dump trucks and trailering equipment
- Confidence towing and transporting equipment
- Care and upkeep of company equipment
- Familiarity with One Call procedures and safe digging around underground utilities
- Valid driver’s license and current medical card
- Mechanical aptitude and creative problem-solving
- Clear communication, solid customer service, and dependable time management
- A professional work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn
- Ability to work independently and within a crew
- Comfort with technology and cloud-based systems such as ServiceTitan
- Physical readiness to lift equipment and work in varying weather conditions
- CDL is a plus, not a requirement
