The School of Education is looking to hire a part-time adjunct instructor to teach the following course in the Fall 2026 semester: Guided Field Experience in Teaching Spanish (EDUC 4931)
The course will meet in person.
Course Description:This course serves undergraduate students in teacher education and meets once per week to help guide the field experience for students in secondary Spanish field experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Department Chair and the Director of Teacher Education, the instructor will perform the following duties:
Guide field experience in secondary Spanish courses.
Evaluate student learning using appropriate assessment methods and School of Education program evaluation system.
Maintain and submit accurate and current records concerning student accountability, attendance, and performance.
Maintain a student-oriented approach to education.
Provide opportunities for individual consultation and feedback for students in the field.
Uphold professional and ethical standards and adhere to University policies and procedures
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Doctorate Preferred, or Master's Degree and experience in the field of education.
WI DPI licensed Spanish teacher.
Experience in higher education.
Successful record of teaching Spanish in middle and/or high school.
Excellent oral and written communication.
