Preferred Qualifications:
The Public Safety Officer Unarmed responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Secures property and facilities, identifying and addressing unauthorized or illegal access.
Manages pedestrian and vehicle traffic; ensures vehicle safety; issues citations and investigates accidents as needed.
Provides assistance to patients, visitors, and motorists, including escorts upon request.
Supports fire drills and conducts inspections for hazardous or unsafe conditions.
Documents incidents accurately through detailed written reports.
Assists with helicopter pad operations during landings and emergencies.
Completes assigned projects and follows direction from Public Safety leadership.
Ensures compliance with organizational security policies, procedures, and regulations.
Assists clinical staff with managing and restraining disruptive or violent individuals.
Detains suspects when appropriate until law enforcement arrives.
Responds to and manages interactions with combative individuals.
Participates in emergency responses, including fires and bomb threat searches.
