Position Details

  • Location: Boyce, Louisiana (Rapides Parish)
  • Pay: $17.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Full-time, part-time and flexible schedules available, including days, nights, weekends and events. This site requires 24/7 coverage, so you must be able to work split shifts or long hours when needed.

What You'll Do

  • Patrol assigned properties on foot and/or by vehicle.
  • Provide security and crowd management at scheduled events.
  • Stay alert and engaged for your entire shift.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, surveillance systems and access points.
  • Verify and control access for visitors, employees, vendors, contractors and event guests according to client post orders.
  • Maintain a visible, professional presence that deters theft, trespassing, vandalism and unsafe behavior.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, emergencies and client concerns.
  • Help with event setup and breakdown as needed.
  • Watch for, document and immediately report hazards, incidents, policy violations and security concerns.
  • Complete accurate, detailed and timely activity reports, incident reports and shift logs.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, guests, employees, event coordinators, law enforcement, dispatch and company leadership.
  • Follow all company policies, client post orders and applicable laws.

  • Comfortable with technology: You can use a smartphone, reporting app, radio and basic computer systems.

Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in security, the military, law enforcement, event staffing, customer service or hospitality.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening, if required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for mobile patrol positions
  • Current Louisiana security officer credentials, or willingness to obtain them
  • Able to stand, walk, patrol and stay alert for long periods, including at busy, high-energy events
