Position Summary:
The City of Independence's Parks & Recreation Department is looking for seasonal umpires to work during the season for players aged 6 through 9 years old. The season commences in May and lasts through July.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Seasonal Umpire at The City of Independence, Ohio, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair play and sportsmanship on the field. You will have the opportunity to interact with players and coaches, keeping track of event times and making split-second decisions to regulate play effectively. Enforcing the rules of the game and assessing penalties, when necessary, will be key responsibilities in maintaining a competitive yet respectful atmosphere.
