Job Summary:
Perform high-quality general ultrasound exams to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and the imaging team.
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and clear communication throughout the exam.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general ultrasound studies according to protocols and physician orders.
Produce clear, diagnostically useful images and optimize settings as needed.
Verify patient identity, obtain relevant history, and explain procedures.
Document findings and complete required measurements and annotations.
Assist radiologists with procedures and provide real-time imaging support.
Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment and exam rooms.
Follow infection control, radiation safety, and department policies.
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
Must-Haves:
ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist and/or Registered in Ultrasound (RDMS), or registry eligible in Ultrasound.
One or more years of experience in general ultrasound.
Current BCLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in additional modalities such as vascular, OB/GYN, or small parts.
Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems.
Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills.
Schedule and Pay:
Full-time position with variable shifts based on department needs.
May include occasional call, evenings, or weekends.
