A schedule that creates room for life.

7:00 AM-7:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday every week, plus Friday most weeks and Monday every other week.

Most people spend their lunch breaks trying to schedule appointments around work.

Imagine having a Tuesday morning free.

Or Thursday afternoon.

Or an entire weekday to hike the Oregon Coast, enjoy lunch with friends, run errands without crowds, or simply enjoy Florence while everyone else is at work.

This schedule flips the traditional workweek on its head.

Work weekends. Enjoy the freedom that comes with having much of the week to yourself.

And when your shift ends, the Pacific Ocean is minutes away.

More Than a Different Schedule

At PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center, you'll practice in a community hospital where relationships still matter.

Patients aren't just names on a schedule. Colleagues aren't just people you pass in a hallway. Here, you'll become part of a close-knit team serving a community that genuinely values its healthcare professionals.

This is the kind of environment that reminds many sonographers why they chose healthcare in the first place.

Clinical Variety That Keeps Your Skills Sharp

This role is ideal for an experienced sonographer who enjoys practicing across a broad range of studies rather than being limited to a narrow exam mix.

You'll perform:

  • General Ultrasound
  • First-trimester OB exams
  • Limited second and third-trimester OB studies
  • Biophysical Profiles (BPP)
  • Venous Doppler studies
  • Arterial studies, including ABI testing
  • Vascular imaging

Most vascular studies remain in-house, giving you the opportunity to fully utilize the breadth of your ultrasound expertise while exercising independent clinical judgment every day.

You'll also work with high-quality ultrasound systems from Philips, Siemens, and GE.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • A unique schedule that creates more flexibility during the week
  • Four days off most weeks to enjoy the Oregon Coast and everything it offers
  • The opportunity to use a broad range of ultrasound skills, including vascular imaging
  • Meaningful relationships with patients, providers, and teammates
  • A respected organization that values clinical expertise and caregiver wellbeing
  • Comprehensive benefits, retirement contributions, paid time off, wellness resources, and continuing education support

What You'll Bring

  • Accredited School of Ultrasound Sonography required, or equivalent education and/or experience as required for obtaining certification/license/registration as required by the national registry through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Minimum of 1-year diagnostic ultrasound experience in a hospital facility preferred.
  • PACS/RIS knowledge preferred
  • Registration through ARDMS
  • Licensure through Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
  • BLS (through American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Who Thrives Here

  • Sonographers who enjoy autonomy and clinical ownership
  • People who prefer meaningful patient interactions over high-volume scanning
  • Professionals who value work-life balance as much as career growth
  • Team-oriented caregivers who appreciate collaboration and community
  • Individuals ready to trade traffic, crowds, and constant commotion for a more intentional pace of life

Why Florence?

Florence offers something that's becoming increasingly rare: room to breathe.

You can finish your shift and be on the beach in minutes. Spend your days off hiking coastal trails, kayaking nearby waterways, exploring local shops, or watching the sun set over the Pacific.

Life moves a little differently here-and that's exactly why people love it.

For many healthcare professionals, moving to Florence feels less like relocating and more like reclaiming time.
