What Youll Do
- Verify physician orders and ensure accuracy of procedures
- Explain ultrasound procedures to patients for clear understanding
- Operate ultrasound equipment independently following protocol
- Assist radiologists during guided procedures
- Review images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission
- Complete quality control procedures complying with regulatory standards
- Maintain departmental operations including inventory and equipment
- Adapt communication and behavior to suit diverse patient populations
What You Need
- Required:
- ARDMS registration in Abdominal and OB-Gyn ultrasound or Cardiac Sonography
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- 2+ years of sonographer experience
- Maternal Fetal Medicine experience preferred
- Proficiency in computer and software use
- Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends, holidays, on-call)
- Preferred:
- RVT certification within two years of hire
- Knowledge of relevant anatomy and ultrasound pathology
