Ultra-Low and Scientific Refrigeration Service Technician

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (must be willing to work OT as needed)
About the Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Technician to join a growing service team. This position involves traveling to customer locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair ultra-low and scientific refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems
Service and maintain HVAC equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues
Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
Complete service reports and required documentation
Provide professional customer service on-site
Participate in an on-call rotation
Travel locally to customer locations throughout the service area
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of commercial refrigeration experience
Experience servicing commercial refrigeration units and HVAC systems
Ultra-low temperature or scientific refrigeration experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
Knowledge of low- and high-voltage electrical circuits
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical schematics
Universal EPA Certification required
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Ability to safely carry and climb ladders
Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
Chiller experience
Controls experience
Experience working with refrigeration in one or more of the following:
Hospital or medical centers
University or government research labs
Blood banks and tissue centers
Veterinary and agricultural research facilities
Forensic and pathology labs
Vaccine storage facilities
Cryogenic storage providers
