Castro Valley School of Music is seeking an enthusiastic Ukulele Teacher to lead a small group class for adults. This is a part-time, in-person position teaching up to six students at a time.


We’re looking for someone who can create a welcoming, relaxed environment where adults feel comfortable learning, making music together, and having fun—no matter their previous musical experience.


Responsibilities

•  Lead engaging group ukulele lessons for up to six adults 
•  Teach fundamental chords, strumming patterns, rhythm, and popular songs 
•  Adapt instruction to different skill levels and learning styles 
•  Encourage students and build their confidence 
•  Help create a friendly, social atmosphere 
•  Communicate clearly with students and school staff 

Ideal Candidate

•  Strong ukulele skills and a solid understanding of music fundamentals 
•  Experience teaching adults or leading group music classes preferred 
•  Friendly, patient, dependable, and encouraging 
•  Comfortable working with beginners 
•  Organized and able to prepare structured, enjoyable lessons 
•  Available for a consistent weekly class
