Job Description – UiPath RPA Developer / Technical Lead

Location & Duration

• Location: Chicago, IL / Dallas, TX

• Duration: 6 months

Experience Requirements

• 10–12+ years of overall experience in Programming and RPA.

• 6–8+ years of hands-on RPA experience.

• Minimum 6 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying multiple RPA automations/Bots.

• Strong hands-on experience with UiPath.

• Experience working as an individual contributor as well as part of an RPA development team.

• Experience providing technical guidance and mentoring to developers.

• Experience leading RPA development and delivery efforts.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA automations using UiPath.

• Develop new automation solutions and enhance existing automations.

• Collaborate with business users, process owners, developers, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders.

• Independently manage RPA development projects or serve as the sole RPA developer/modeler when required.

• Review code and recommend technical improvements.

• Provide technical guidance and support to RPA developers.

• Develop and document RPA configuration and development best practices.

• Build workflows that are efficient, structured, maintainable, reusable, and easy to understand.

• Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities.

• Define RPA value propositions and recommend automation strategies.

• Re-engineer processes to improve automation potential.

• Conduct RPA high-level assessments.

• Create and document test procedures and scenarios for pre-UAT activities.

• Support operational teams during UAT and production rollout.

• Monitor automation performance, KPIs, and overall solution health.

• Review process documentation, including scorecards, process definitions, solution design documents, and user documentation.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and adoption of RPA best practices.

• Manage and administer UiPath Orchestrator, licenses, robots, and automation environments across global business units.

• Coordinate end-to-end implementation with process owners, developers, and IT teams.

• Ensure solutions comply with governance standards and established processes.

• Participate in an on-call rotation as required.

• Provide technical training and guidance to RPA teams.

• Lead and assign projects to RPA team members to ensure timely and quality delivery.

• Organize RPA training, webinars, and knowledge-sharing activities.

• Experience with multiple automation environments.

• Experience managing global RPA deployments.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of Information Technology experience; OR

• Technical certification and/or college coursework with 6+ years of IT experience; OR

• 8+ years of Information Technology experience.

• 3+ years of RPA development experience and 6+ years of overall IT experience, where applicable.

• 2+ years of hands-on programming experience in .NET, Java, C/C#, VB, Python, SQL, web services, or related technologies.
