    Role Weighting
    • .NET and C# development: approximately 40 percent
    • Front-end development, UI, and UX: approximately 40 percent
    • Middleware and APIs: approximately 10 percent
    • SQL Server: approximately 10 percent
    • Accessibility: a heavy, core requirement across all of the work above
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in human-Computer Interaction (HCI), design, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A graduate degree in HCI is preferred. A degree in design or HCI combined with a solid coding background is preferred. Multiple degrees and certifications are valued.
    • Strong .NET and C# development experience, and strong front-end development experience. These two areas are the core of the role.
    • Demonstrated UX and UI knowledge: design thinking, usability principles, responsive design, and experience turning designs into working interfaces. A portfolio should show UI work, not only backend code.
    • Front-end depth in HTML5, CSS, Sass, and JavaScript.
    • Formal WCAG training and demonstrated experience coding and testing for WCAG 2.1 AA, including hands-on use of accessibility testing tools.
    • Recent experience (within the last three years) with current frameworks and modern best practices. Legacy system experience older than three years will not align with the State's upcoming standardization efforts.
    • Experience working within an enterprise design system.
    • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Working knowledge of SQL Server, APIs, and middleware integrations.
