UI / UX Designer - REMOTE Anywhere in US
6-Month+ Contract | 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, Flexible hours
Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for a UI / UX Designer for a 6 month + Contract to Hire. This is a UX/UI Designer, NOT a software engineer or developer. This talent with help refine and expand an in-progress ENTERPRISE DESIGN SYSTEM for digital healthcare products associated with our clients Vocera and care.ai products. The importance of the system is to unify UI components and interaction patterns across multiple applications; initial focus is approximately six months.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain design system architecture, reusable components, design tokens and semantic tokens.
- Standardize switches, banners, typography, colors, controls and other UI elements across products.
- Support light/dark modes and accessibility modes; align with WCAG AAA expectations.
- Collaborate with nine designers and front-end engineers to integrate components into the codebase.
- Create governance for proposing, reviewing, implementing and maintaining components.
- Prepare components for AI-agent-assisted engineering workflows; later assist with mobile UX/UI features and other projects.
