UI/UX Designer

smartdept. is searching for a UI/UX Designer for a growth and transformation consultancy serving ecommerce, retail, and DTC brands. This is a fully remote, ongoing freelance contract opportunity.

You'll design website, landing page, and checkout experiences for ecommerce brands, working alongside senior creative and growth leads.

What You'll Do:

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI in Figma
• Design landing pages and website redesigns for ecommerce brands
• Improve checkout and conversion flows with the CRO team
• Build and maintain design systems and reusable components
• Prepare clean handoff files for developers
• Explain design decisions clearly to the team and, when needed, the client

What You'll Need:

• Hands-on UI/UX experience on ecommerce sites, landing pages, or web products
• Expert-level Figma skills (required)
• Responsive and mobile-first design experience
• A portfolio showing web and UX work with your process
• Comfort using AI tools to work faster
• Strong communication and the ability to present design direction

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Shopify or Webflow experience
• User testing and A/B testing
• Accessibility best practices
• Adobe Creative Suite
