Job Summary:The UI Developer II role is primarily focused on implementing and shipping clean, usable, modern user interfaces that improve our platforms while developing strong front-end engineering habits.This position involves building new features in React, maintaining and modernizing existing platform features, and contributing to style guides, reusable patterns, and interface standards established by the team.Effective communication is important because the role works closely with developers, designers, product owners, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, technical constraints, and user experience goals.The UI Developer II is expected to solve problems in practical, maintainable ways, learn from feedback, and grow through collaboration with senior developers and the broader team.
Responsibilities:
Implement internal- and customer-facing front-end interfaces as part of a collaborative development teamBuild new features using modern front-end frameworks, with React as the preferred frameworkMaintain and modernize existing user interface features and toolsAdopt and follow established style guides, reusable patterns, and standards for modern UI development, while contributing improvements under the guidance of senior team members.Participate in prototyping and solution exploration with guidance from senior team membersAssist with technical feasibility discussions and communicate practical design considerations or limitationsImplement unit tests and help improve front-end test coverageApply attention to detail in code quality, performance, usability, and accessibilityBuild solutions that support maintainability, consistency, and long-term improvement of the platformAdopt a positive and responsible attitude toward AI-powered development tools, using them to accelerate coding, support problem solving, and deepen learning while maintaining accountability for code quality and understanding.Seek feedback, learn from code reviews, and continuously improve technical skills and development practicesOther duties as assigned
Skills And Qualifications:Required
2+ years of software development experience or equivalent practical experience building production-ready user interfacesVerifiable knowledge and experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar; React preferredAbility to implement attractive, usable interfaces with strong attention to visual detailUnderstanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern front-end development practicesAbility to work with version control using GitWillingness to learn, incorporate feedback, and collaborate effectively with senior developers and cross-functional partners
Preferred
Exposure to older JavaScript frameworks such as MooTools or jQueryExperience with or knowledge of server-side rendered front-end applicationsExperience with GitHub or BitBucketKnowledge of accessible UX best practicesExposure to Amazon Web Services or Microsoft AzureFamiliarity with server-side development in C#, PHP, or similarFamiliarity with SQL, MySQL, or related database technologies
Compensation:Compensation Range: $90,000 - $100,000Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
