The Role The Associate Sales Engineer is an entry-level commercial role supporting NovaStar's LED display and professional visual solutions business in the U.S. market. With guidance from experienced sales and technical colleagues, the associate builds customer relationships, explains solutions, and supports opportunities from discovery through post-sale follow-up. Key Responsibilities

• Develop professional relationships and business opportunities with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders, including LED display manufacturers, systems integrators, distributors, rental and staging companies, digital-signage providers, and enterprise or commercial customers.
• Support the complete sales process-customer discovery, product introduction, solution recommendation, proposal support, negotiation assistance, order coordination, and post-sale follow-up-and contribute to assigned sales goals and revenue growth.
• Learn and present NovaStar solutions, including LED display control systems, video processors, professional AV solutions, and AV-over-IP solutions.
• Prepare for and participate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and technical presentations; work with Sales Engineers and technical teams to understand requirements and coordinate suitable recommendations.
• Communicate customer feedback and market needs clearly to internal teams.
• Support territory and account development by researching market trends, competitors, and customer opportunities using credible sources.
• Participate in industry trade shows, customer demonstrations, partner events, and product training sessions.
• Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, activity, visit, pipeline, and forecast information in the company CRM, and provide regular updates on market activity and sales progress. Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field. Candidates completing a degree may apply if they graduated after January 2027.
• Strong passion for technology sales, customer engagement, and solution-based selling, together with a clear willingness to learn unfamiliar products and processes.
• Strong spoken and written English communication and presentation skills for customer and internal interactions.
• Willingness to learn technical and commercial concepts and communicate them clearly with coaching, including when to involve a technical specialist.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, receptiveness to feedback, and reliable follow-through across multiple priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and industry events, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Skills and Experience
• Internship, academic project, student-organization, or other practical experience in sales, business development, a technology company, the AV industry, or the electronics industry.
• Interest in or basic knowledge of LED displays, video processing, professional AV systems, networking technologies, or digital signage.
• Experience with customer presentations, product demonstrations, trade shows, or comparable public-facing activities.
• Familiarity with CRM tools or another structured system for tracking contacts, activities, and next steps.
• AV industry training or certification, such as AVIXA CTS, is a plus.
• Work Environment and Travel
• Work may occur in an office, laboratory, customer facility, warehouse, event venue, or other field environment.
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for scheduled projects, training, or industry events.
• A valid driver's license and ability to meet company-insurability requirements when driving is an essential job duty.
