    We are seeking a Field Assistant Cook to join our U.S. Rebuild team in Burnsville, North Carolina. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan''s Purse are to help people in Jesus'' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    In the role of Field Assistant Cook, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ

    • Assist the Lead Cook in preparing the menu, orders, and purchases to serve staff and volunteers

    • Help the Lead Cook in preparing breakfast and dinner each day at set times as requested, and provide items for the volunteers to prepare a bag lunch each morning before going out to work

    • Assist with maintaining the kitchen and equipment in a clean manner

    • Greet all staff and visitors, and utilize volunteers to assist as needed in the kitchen

    • Other duties as assigned

    What are the qualifications?

    As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

    • High school diploma and at least one year of experience in food preparation; or equivalent combination of education and experience

    • ServeSafe handler certificate (required)
