Description
We are looking for dynamic tutors for our Gahanna/New Albany Location. You'll join a team of professional educators working with elementary, middle, and/or high school-aged students. Please help us make a positive impact on our students' lives! This Is Not a Remote Position.
Job Details:
- Flexible Schedule: Instructional Hours VARY Monday through Thursday between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Candidates do NOT need to be available for all of these hours!).
- Subject Areas: Phonics, Reading, Writing, Study Skills, Math.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree REQUIRED.
- Teaching Experience and/or Certification PREFERRED.
- Orton-Gillingham Certification PREFERRED, but not required for elementary levels.
Location:
- In Person.
Hourly Pay:
- From $18 per hour, commensurate with experience and credentials.

About Company
The Huntington Learning Center in La Grange Park is proud to serve the communities of La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs, Brookfield, Riverside, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Lyons, Bellwood, Westchester and parts of Chicago. We have a team of capable, caring professionals that work with students from Kindergarten through high school.

We are proud to provide skill work to students in reading, writing, math, phonics and study skills. We are also home to the premier ACT/SAT program in the area. Our ACT preparation has seen our students average a 4.5 point increase on the exam. 4.5 points! We also provide subject specific tutoring in math and science.
All tutoring is done by certified teachers.
We are proud to be active members of our communities as we are involved with both the La Grange Park Chamber and and West Suburban Chamber of Commerce. We reserve our greatest pride for the hundreds of students that we have helped in the 20 plus years that we have been open.
At the 2018 National Convention, Huntington honored outstanding centers with awards for center growth, student enrollment, customer service and other achievements. Garry Fairfield of the La Grange, IL center was awarded the Commitment to Student Success Award and Executive Chairman’s Club Award for superior customer service.
