Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of students? Are you subbing but looking for something more consistent? Huntington Learning Center is hiring dynamic phonics and reading tutors to teach small groups 1st through 8th grade, in person at Dayton-area schools during the school day. This is NOT a remote position. You must have at least a bachelor's degree.
Position Details:
- Part-Time: 20-30 hours a week, Monday through Friday; hours and days may vary based on school schedule.
- Location: Dayton, OH
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Prior teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred.
- Valid teaching certificate preferred but not required.
Compensation:
- With Bachelor's Degree: $25.00 per hour.
- With valid Teaching Certification: Up to $28.00 per hour, commensurate with credentials and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize Huntington Learning Center’s instructional procedures and curriculum.
- Work with the Lead Teacher and Program Director to implement instructional programs.
- Follow school policies and procedures; supervise students at all times.
- Maintain student records of attendance and progress.
- Administer baseline tests at established intervals.

- Possess basic computer operating knowledge.

About Company
The Huntington Learning Center in La Grange Park is proud to serve the communities of La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs, Brookfield, Riverside, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Lyons, Bellwood, Westchester and parts of Chicago. We have a team of capable, caring professionals that work with students from Kindergarten through high school.

Our ACT preparation has seen our students average a 4.5 point increase on the exam. 4.5 points! We also provide subject specific tutoring in math and science.
All tutoring is done by certified teachers.

At the 2018 National Convention, Huntington honored outstanding centers with awards for center growth, student enrollment, customer service and other achievements.
