We are seeking an experienced Turnaround Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Cameron, Louisiana. This position will be responsible for coordinating and controlling mechanical execution activities associated with shutdown, turnaround, and outage (STO) work at an Client/petrochemical facility.
The ideal candidate will have strong turnaround execution experience, knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, and the ability to coordinate contractors, operations, engineering, procurement, and project teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership, adaptability, safety awareness, and communication skills are essential.
Coordinate and control mechanical execution activities throughout shutdown, turnaround, and outage (STO) events.
Manage STO work scopes, scope revisions, execution priorities, and associated documentation.
Support the development, review, and validation of execution work packages.
Utilize SAP PM to support turnaround planning, tracking, execution, and work management activities.
Coordinate with schedulers to monitor execution progress, critical-path activities, schedule impacts, and recovery needs.
Manage contractor execution, performance, onboarding, compliance, and scope validation.
Coordinate tools, equipment, materials, mobilization requirements, and required certifications.
Monitor work progress, costs, productivity, and schedule performance while identifying and resolving execution challenges.
Coordinate closely with operations, engineering, procurement, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain execution priorities.
Apply site HSSE requirements and support safe execution of simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
Ensure work activities comply with facility Management of Change (MOC) requirements and established turnaround procedures.
Support achievement of required STO phase-gate deliverables.
Resolve contractor, execution, and scheduling conflicts that could impact turnaround performance.
Support startup, commissioning, and post-turnaround activities as required.
Capture lessons learned and identify opportunities to improve future turnaround planning and execution.
Direct and influence multidisciplinary teams while managing multiple execution activities simultaneously.
Communicate execution status, priorities, risks, and changes effectively across all levels and disciplines.
Previous shutdown, turnaround, or outage coordination experience within Client, petrochemical, refining, chemical, or similar industrial facilities.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, maintenance, and field execution.
Experience coordinating mechanical contractors and turnaround work scopes.
Working knowledge of SAP PM for maintenance, turnaround tracking, or execution support.
Understanding of turnaround scheduling, critical-path activities, work packages, and execution sequencing.
Knowledge of HSSE requirements, SIMOPS, and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
Ability to monitor and manage multiple work activities, contractors, priorities, and schedule constraints simultaneously.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across operations, engineering, contractors, and project teams.
Ability to adapt to changing turnaround conditions and resolve execution challenges quickly and effectively.
